My major is Computer Science. I have been fascinated in computer science since my high school sophomore year. Ever since then, I dreamed about working for Pixar Studios. I specifically want to work for Pixar because I want to make people smile like Pixar did throughout my life. Therefore, I am very interested in research dealing with computer graphics. |

Paul Bostwick:
My major is applied mathematics. During high school my favorite subject happened to be mathematics. A main problem I had was trying to think of what useful things could come from that like, other than being a teacher. So any research that would answer that problem would be welcome. As I am mostly undecided about the future, any research opportunities are interesting and I hope to get involved soon. |

My major is Chemistry. Since I was in first grade my favorite subject has always been mathematics, later in my school years I learned and grew to love science. But what fascinated me the most was the ability to combine my two favorite subjects together, and ended up with Chemistry. Not only am I in awe of the reactions that combining two elements together make, but knowing that there is a reason to the reactions and being able to know why the two elements reacted that way has always grabbed my attention. My interest in research would be of any kind that leads to the medical field and because I am in persue of using my major to get into medical school and become an anesthesiologist. But besides that I am interested in an research or opportunity that will allow me to learn. |
Juan Varela:
I like the fact that physics solves problems in our everyday lives. I want to help our species find new sources of energy so that we can lessen dependence on fossil fuels. Besides that, any research would be fine, as long as I'm learning! |
